Clear Plastic Sheeting: Polycarbonate / Polycarb (also known as Lexan or Makrolon) for use around the home, workshop, car, and in the VEX Robotics Competition. Transparent Lexan sheet is great for thermo forming with clear plastic! Superior in usability to glass sheets or clear Plexiglas.
Shatter resistant Lexan sheet, easy to cut, drill, bend, and thermoform. Use simple tools like snips or hacksaws to cut and standard drill bits without cracking or fracturing. Simple to bend with a heat gun, may also be cold-bendable. Thermoformable, often used for vacuum molding.
Transparent polycarbonate panes are sold under a number of brands including Lexan by SABIC, Perspex, Makrolon, Tuffak, Spartech, Palram, Gallina. Better workability than Clear Acrylic Plexiglass sold as Lucite, Plexiglas, Perspex, etc.

Polycarbonate is a superior clear plastic sheet compared to Plexiglass/AcrylicSheets can easily be cut, milled, and drilled with any standard tools (hacksaw, jigsaw, snips for thin sheets, standard drill bit, etc.) without the cracking or fracturing you would find in Plexiglass. Additionally, Polycarbonate can be bent neatly. Thin sheets can be bent cold with sheet metal techniques, while thicker ones are easy to shape with the help of a heat gun.
